BE A BETTER YOU, FOR YOU

How many of us feel that nobody understands us?!
Or maybe that we are always misunderstood despite good intentions.
Well,
Worry not!!
Welcome to the club where the number of people who feel this way is approximately equal to the worlds population.
Feels good to be majority eh?
U know who are the minorities here ?
Read on to find out…..
BE A BETTER YOU, FOR YOU

So in my college there was this workshop on biofeedback mechanism.
No?!
Don't Google it.
Even after sitting in that hot room we couldn't understand how things work.
So yeah …
What's important is that what happened next ….

So our professors entered to attend the workshop too.
Behind us there were 4 chairs,
I was more interested in noting the communication pattern and behaviour of our teachers than the mechanism of EEG .
So, sipping on the free coke we got as a reinforcement for the workshop I began observing them.
They both sat together initially.
However, after some time when my concentration broke and I looked at them, they were sitting in opposite seats.
BE A BETTER YOU, FOR YOU
So one of them asked the other,
“Why don't u sit with me? We can see the projector clearly from here”.
The other one replied,
“Yaar the fan is up here above my seat …..I like it here ...you come ..the seat besides me is empty”.
“No I'm fine here..I'll like to see the presentation”.
And both of them didn't see each other eye to eye the entire day!

Was it a fight ?
No
Was it an ego clash?
No
It was plain distinct clash of priorities.
It happens so many times where the common goal is same but to reach that goal the ways we take are super different and we feel that the way taken by other person is either illegal or easier!
What is important to understand here is that both wanted to sit with each other however the difference in priority made one believe that the other person is being egoistic

Everyone has two eyes but no one has the same view

This is life, we feel people screw us but we unknowingly screw them many more times. In those moments when priorities clash, always stay guided by your values not by your perceived necessities.

Here are some simple positive little tips on how to handle such misunderstandings-
  • try and be polite- its always easier
  • remember that how would you feel if you would have been in that other persons place- empathy now and then prevents major fall outs.
  • if no conclusion is reached to, be genuine and talk about it in a non confrontational manner- gossips never did any good.
  • be respectful and show that you actually care in sorting out differences- ego monster only grows with time, not lessens.

BE HUMBLE ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN ANYONE AND WISE ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE CROWD.

BECAUSE AT THE END OF THE YOU CAN EITHER CRIB ON HOW MANY PEOPLE DON'T LIKE YOU AND FOCUS ON WHAT IS TEARING YOU APART OR YOU CAN FOCUS ON WHAT'S KEEPING YOU TOGETHER!

THE POWER OF CHOICE LIES IN YOUR HANDS AND I'M SURE YOU WILL CHOOSE YOUR PRIORITY WELL!

KEEP SMILING

BE A BETTER YOU, FOR YOU

We always think of the ways people annoy us with their habits. Never think that we also annoy unknowingly.
